Who we are

Dunkeld Progress Association is a ‘Not for Profit’ Organisation. Its objective is to listen to the collective voice of its membership & advocate on their behalf, to share relevant information & to strive to improve the quality of our lived experience as residents & business owners of Dunkeld.

Membership of Dunkeld Progress Association provides:

  • Stay informed, receive relevant information & updates via email 

Membership

We welcome new membership from Dunkeld residents & Dunkeld-based business owners with a 3294 postcode. 

In signing up for membership you agree to adhere to the statement of purpose & abide by the ground rules.

Statement of Purpose

  • We will actively listen & consult widely among our membership & broader community to inform our priorities
  • We will advocate on behalf of our community
  • We will act as a conduit between Southern Grampians Shire (& other government & non-government agencies) & the DPA membership
  • We will seek & advance grant & other funding opportunities which have broad community support
  • We will make agreements/enter contracts with Local, State or Federal Governments or other agencies, as deemed appropriate
  • We will work with, or provide support to/auspice Dunkeld community groups on a case-by-case basis

Ground rules

In acting to advance these purposes we adhere to ground rules to ensure all conversations are safe, inclusive & respectful:

  • We accept that everyone is entitled to have a say
  • We will make the effort to listen to one another
  • We respect people’s right to their opinions, even if we disagree
  • We will be constructive
  • Our decisions will be democratic & transparent
  • We will try to stay on track & not take offence if we’re reminded, we are off track
